The 12th NATO Computer Assisted Exercise Forum (NATO CAX Forum 2017) will be organized by the NATO Modelling and Simulation Centre of Excellence (NATO M&S COE) and hosted at Grand Hotel MEDITERRANEO Convention Centre in FLORENCE, Italy, 26 – 29 September 2017.

The CAX Forum is the main CAX-related conference held yearly and the 11th Edition, hosted in OTTOBRUN in September 2016, was attended by more than 250 participants coming from more than 29 NATO, PfP, ICI, Mediterranean Dialogue and Contact Nations.

As per previous editions, the Forum will be conducted in conjunction with the 8th Workshop on Applied Modelling & Simulation (WAMS), dedicated to Applications of Simulation and Computer Technologies, and will consequently benefit of the synergic presence of additional distinguished experts.

The 12th Forum will focus on technical items and operating procedures related to simulation – based exercises and training support, in order to promote the exchange of information and best practices among the Staffs of NATO and National simulation/training centres.

A Serious Games Workshop will be held, as well as a full session will be dedicated to National Simulation Centres, the cooperation and sharing activities among them and key NATO training entities such as JWC and JFTC.

A Command & Control to Simulation (C2SIM) Interoperability Workshop  and a Modelling & Simulation as a Service (MSaaS) experimentation with multiple services activity will also be held in dedicated sessions.
