WHAT WE DO
The NATO Modelling & Simulation Centre of Excellence is a NATO accredited Education & Training Facility, committed to a continuous improvement in providing quality NATO Education & Individual Training opportunities, by utilizing an Effective Quality Management System.
The NATO M&S COE provides three in-house courses and one in distance form yearly.
The first one is the NATO Computer Assisted Exercise (CAX) Specialist Certification Course. The course aim is to create a pool of experts that are used to support NRF qualification exercises, like Juncture / Trident Series.
The second one is the NATO M&S Basic Course that provides the audience with the consistent information about M&S assets, procedures, technologies and military use.
From 2017 the NATO M&S CoE has introduced into its in-house courses the NATO Exercise Support, M&S Integration Specialist Course.
The course, organized together the NATO Joint Force Training Centre (NATO JFTC) is addressed to trained simulation practitioners from NATO and National Training Centers of NATO and PfP Nations, in possess of basic skills in JCATS. The aim of the Course is to provide an advanced knowledge package, focused on constructive simulation system used for training below the joint operational level in NATO, and on the way to federate simulation systems for the benefit of training objective.
The NATO Modelling and Simulation Introductory Course is an introduction into M&S domain in distance learning form (e-Learning) that is required to attend prior NATO M&S Basic Course.

In addition to all the above, the M&S CoE organizes two main events yearly.
The NATO CAX Forum is focused on technical items and operating procedures related to simulation – based exercises and training support, in order to promote the exchange of information and best practices among the Staffs of NATO and National simulation/training centers.
The Modelling and Simulation for Autonomous Systems Workshop (MESAS) is an Inter-domain and Interdisciplinary exchange between M&S and Robotics that scout the use of M&S to integrate Systems with Autonomous Capabilities in Operational Scenarios and to support Coalition Interoperability.
